PRP & Skin Biorevitalization

PRP uses your own blood to renew your skin and restore your hair. A small sample is drawn, spun down to concentrate the platelets and growth factors your body already makes, and reintroduced exactly where it is needed. There is nothing synthetic in it. It is not a filler and it does not add volume. What it does is signal your own tissue to repair and rebuild, which is why the results come in gradually and look like your own skin, just healthier.

I will always tell you honestly whether PRP is the right tool for what you want to change, or whether something else would serve you better. A consultation comes first.

The Treatments

PRP Skin Rejuvenation & Under-Eye

For the face, PRP improves the quality of your skin: texture, fine lines, tone, and that lit-from-within look. It builds collagen over time, so think of it as a gradual investment rather than an instant change. I usually recommend a series of three sessions spaced about four to six weeks apart, with maintenance roughly once or twice a year. You may notice a glow within a week, but the real texture and tone changes settle in over two to three months as new collagen forms.

Around the eyes, I want to be clear about what PRP can and cannot do. It is wonderful for crepey, thin, finely lined under-eye skin, and it can even out tone and improve texture in that delicate area. What it does not do is fill a hollow. If your under-eye shadow comes from lost volume, that is an anatomy problem and filler is the right tool, not PRP. If the darkness is true pigment, PRP helps only a little. At your consultation I will look closely and tell you which is which, because the wrong tool here just disappoints.

BEST FOR: skin quality, fine lines, texture, glow, crepey under-eye skin
SESSIONS: a series of 3, about 4 to 6 weeks apart, maintenance 1 to 2x per year
NOT FOR: filling hollows or erasing pigmented dark circles
DOWNTIME: minimal; pinpoint redness or light bruising for a few days, a little more around the eyes

PRP Hair Restoration

PRP for the scalp delivers your own growth factors to follicles that are thinning but still alive, supporting density and helping to extend the growth phase. Of all the PRP treatments I offer, this one has the most research behind it: controlled studies consistently show improved hair density at three and six months. I want to be honest that the evidence is good but not perfect, and PRP works best for early to moderate thinning. It cannot regrow hair from a follicle that is already gone, so it is not a treatment for advanced baldness.

I usually start with three to four sessions every four to six weeks, then maintenance every four to six months to hold the result, since the underlying cause of thinning does not go away. The first thing most people notice is less shedding, with visible density changes coming in around three to six months. PRP pairs well with other hair therapies and is a good drug-free option if that matters to you.

BEST FOR: early to moderate thinning with active follicles, drug-free maintenance
SESSIONS: 3 to 4 every 4 to 6 weeks, then maintenance every 4 to 6 months
NOT FOR: advanced baldness where follicles are no longer active
DOWNTIME: minimal; scalp tenderness and possible soreness for a day or two

PRFM — Next-Generation PRP

PRFM is a newer, more advanced version of PRP, and it is a premium treatment in my practice. Instead of adding anything to your blood, it is prepared so that your platelets form a natural fibrin scaffold that holds them in place and releases growth factors slowly over days rather than all at once. That slower, sustained release is why I often reach for PRFM in the most delicate areas, particularly the under-eyes and the scalp, where a gentle, longer-acting signal does the most good.

I will be honest that PRFM is not proven to be definitively superior to PRP for every use, and the research comparing the two is still young. What I can tell you is that it is a refined, additive-free option that many of my patients prefer for sensitive areas. Because the preparation is more involved, it is priced above standard PRP. At your consultation I will help you decide whether standard PRP or PRFM is the better fit for your goals and your budget.

BEST FOR: delicate areas like the under-eyes and scalp, patients wanting a refined option
HOW IT DIFFERS: forms a natural fibrin scaffold, slower growth-factor release, nothing added
GOOD TO KNOW: a premium treatment, priced above standard PRP
DOWNTIME: minimal, similar to PRP
